CREATIVE TECHNOLOGY PROJECTS
STAY SAFE
New Perspectives contacted us about a digital theatre project they were presenting at Signal Fires Festival that had to be performed through WhatsApp
We explored different options to find out which one suited the production the best
We combined different software solutions to achieve the desired experience for the performance
We up-cycled hardware to create a controller for the running of the event
We operated the production to ensure the smooth running of the performances
GUEST
We collaborated with researchers at the University of Nottingham, Horizon CDT, and the BBC who wanted to digitally recreate the experience of a face to face conversation
We prototyped the project across multiple media, including live performance, Virtual Reality, and Augmented Reality
We wrote software to track the attention and behaviour of the audience
We wrote, rehearsed, filmed, and edited multiple characters, and created a system that allowed them to understand the audiences behaviour and respond appropriately
We created a virtual researcher to deliver a questionnaire and follow up interview to collect data about the project
HAIRY HANDS FM
We were commissioned by BBC New Creatives to create an immersive survival horror audio experience for people to use in their homes
We drew from our knowledge of sound design, psychology, and magic to create the character of the monster that felt present in the audience's world
We developed a universal app that allowed the experience to work with any internet connected device or pair of headphones
We developed software that would listen to when the audience was speaking and move on to the next appropriate part of the narrative in the experience
