Nat Henderson

Digital Literary Department Manager at Chronic Insanity

Founding member of Chronic Insanity

Nat Henderson is a theatre-maker and artist. Many of the labels under this one include playwright, director, performer, and costume, make-up, and poster designer based in Nottingham.

They are an artist in development with, and a member of the JMK Directors group at, the Nottingham Playhouse. Having completed a Masters in English Studies at the University of Nottingham, combined with their BA in English, they have an academic focus on drama, performance and genre transgression, specialising in both the 90s period of In-Yer-Face theatre and the contemporary construction of the lyric essay.

In 2022 they became the manager of the UK's first Digital Literary Department. Five commissions are currently in progress from the departments first season and will be released throughout 2023.

Since launching the department, they have additionally introduced a trial run of writers groups to facilitate a  community for digital writers, which is continuing in the form of 'Writer's Groups for Lonely Writers', a regular zoom room for writers anywhere to attend.
